Guests on ATV across open Kansas field — dramatic sky, Red Bird Ranch
100 Acres  ·  Exclusively Yours

Everything the land
has to offer.

ATV, fishing, hunting, and the unhurried hours between. All of it, all yours.

ATV & Off-Road

A hundred acres with
no roads to follow.

Two Polaris ATVs — a Ranger UTV and a Sportsman — are included with every stay. The property has no marked trails and no designated routes. You go where the land takes you: across open grassland, through wooded creek corridors, to the far pond most guests don't find until their second day.

In spring the woodland floor runs with bluebells. In fall the fields are open and the visibility is miles. In any season, the feeling of moving across land that answers to no one — for a few days, at least — is difficult to replicate anywhere near Kansas City.

Fishing

Three acres of
stocked water,
entirely private.

The lake sits at the center of the property, visible from nearly every room of the lodge. Stocked with largemouth bass and channel catfish, it fishes well in every season. Cast from the bank, walk the shoreline, or find a spot under the oak on the north end where the water runs deeper and the fish know it.

A second smaller pond sits further into the conservation land — quieter, more overgrown, worth the extra walk. All gear is available. No license is required on private water in Kansas.

Main lake 3 acres, stocked

Hunting

Whitetail, turkey,
and 100 acres
that hold both.

Red Bird Ranch has three elevated hunting blinds positioned across the property — each sited with prevailing wind and travel corridors in mind. The timber edges, creek bottoms, and conservation wetlands create natural funnels that concentrate whitetail movement throughout the season. Turkey are present in numbers on the property every spring. Guided and self-guided options are available.

Whitetail Deer

September — January

Three elevated enclosed blinds, heated. Positioned on timber-field edges with known travel corridors. Kansas whitetail season runs September through January; the rut typically peaks in November.

Wild Turkey

Spring Season

Eastern wild turkey are present on the property in strong numbers each spring. The conservation wetlands and timber edges provide ideal roosting and strutting ground. Kansas spring season typically runs April through May.

Licensing & Guidance

Kansas regulations apply

Kansas hunting licenses are required and are the responsibility of each guest. Guided hunts can be arranged through our preferred outfitter network. Contact us when inquiring about a retreat to discuss availability and season timing.

The Other Hours

Some of the best
moments happen
in between.

Between the morning hunt and the afternoon ride, between dinner and whatever happens after — the porch is there. A hundred feet of covered outdoor space, Adirondack chairs facing the field, string lights overhead.

The ranch Lab shows up when she feels like it. The lake reflects whatever the sky is doing. Someone makes coffee before sunrise and stands at the window for twenty minutes without saying anything. These are the hours people remember longest.
